Here shortly we will list all the wireless hotspots in lewes available from
SussexNetShare in Lewes covers much of Malling/Cliffe/Pells new nodes shortly in the High Street and Southover hopefully ... we welcome offers of help and other hosting locations. We spread out south to Rodmell and north to Chailey. All using SnS ESSID
SnSfeeed.net is another name SussexNetShare is known as. We amalgamated with another similar club Feeed last year to now include Hastings.
SnShare is the name SussexNetShare uses as we have many hotspots now outside of Sussex!!
LewesWirelessBroadband covers much of Cliffe/Southover/Pells/School Hill/Rotten Row using FON and SnS ESSID
All share the same goals of allowing ease of access to the community internet for just £6.95 a month or part month. SnS has over a 100 community hotspots in service. We welcome your support. Help and even donations are greatly appreciated. Each of our hotspots costs us about £200 to erect with a decent 1m mast, the more we have the better the service. If you can supply a location or help please contact Ian Salmon on 07973 865850 or 01273 890747. Our masts are only 1m high, white poles. Very simple! Its all done by very weak signals, hence the need for many new masts to cover the town.
You can freely surf off any and all our SnS hotspots for just £6.95 a month or £50 a year if you pay up front by standing order. SnS nodes are found not only in Lewes, but Rodmell, Chailey, Hastings, Eastbourne, Hassocks, Burwash and many more villages to follow. The LWB nodes are independant to SnS and only are found in Lewes. Some LWB nodes are SnS nodes and their ESSID include SnS and you can freely surf off them for £6.95. However LWB are experimenting with some FON hotspots and these are not compatible with SnS automatic billing or automatic roaming/surfing ability. SnS is aware of this and will be rolling out several solely new SnS nodes, so you will have the choice of using either SnS or LWB. ALL SnS nodes are to the same standard and we are developing new software to allow more easily mounted hotspots to be placed in Lewes and surrounding villages very shortly.
